When the government announced changes to the Primary 1 registration system last month, a list of 12 affected schools was also released which included Methodist Girls’ School (Primary).
Under the new registration system, for registration slots under Phase 2C, it no longer matters whether you’re one kilometre or two kilometres from MGS – your children will get an equal shot to be registered.
In light of the changes, it’s a good time to check out the existing resale two- and three-bedders within the appropriate distance. A Quick Caveat About The New Phase 2C Rules

But homebuyers should take note that since the policy change is so recent, and only takes effect in 2027, it may be too early to see the price effects on properties in this 1km area.
We could see the average price of homes that are 2km away from some popular schools increase in a few years time, since they’re also within the Home School Distance (HSD) of MGS. The price performance of these condos may also differ significantly from their trajectory over the past few years, given the new advantage.
